A novel technology
for predicting and controlling
metabolic variables during
riding, training or cycling exercises
SPIRO is a numerical spirometer useful for predicting and controlling VO2 uptake and VCO2 outlet during cycling exercises.
SPIRO is partially based on Wasserman models, that have been adapted to integrate the dynamical aspects of the gas exchange . Thus, SPIRO allows the optimization of training (as optimal FAT burning, Fatigue perception estimation, monitor metabolic efficiency,…).
This technology is the result of joint research efforts at the Grenoble Alpes University, (Grenoble-INP, CNRS, INSERM), involving two research centers: GIPSA-lab and HP2.
This innovation has been the subject of a Patent Application (2021) + a Software with 4 components.
